How Do I Apply?
Please use our paperless online application system to complete your application and upload the required unofficial documents.
- Create an application, or log in using your username and password to continue your application.
- Upload the required unofficial documents. If you are admitted and choose to matriculate, we will then require your official documents. Further instructions will be sent by email.
- When your application is finished, click “Submit” to pay your non-refundable application fee
- After clicking “Submit,” you will not be able to make any changes to your application form, resume or essays, but you will be able to log back in later to upload transcripts and test scores. All required documents must be submitted in order to be considered.
- Once your application is complete, you may receive an invitation to interview. Interviews are by invitation only.
- Any application that remains incomplete at the end of the admissions period will be denied.
At Weatherhead School of Management, our admissions committee takes a holistic approach to reviewing applications and considers both an applicant’s academic history and work experience. When reviewing your profile for admission consideration, we require the following:
The online application captures general personal, contact and demographic information as well as education and employment history. Applicants must submit a $100 application fee as part of the online admissions process. The application fee can be waived as an early application incentive.
Two essays are required. Each must be double-spaced and a maximum of 500 words in length. For the first essay, you’ll be asked to describe your motivation for pursuing a master’s degree. For the second essay, you can choose from four available topics, including: A major challenge or setback you’ve experienced in your life; A current event that has captured your attention and requires a solution; The most difficult feedback you’ve ever received and how you addressed it; What two people—living or deceased—you would invite to dinner if you could, and why.
The resume should include all work experience. If you are an early-career applicant, it should also include part-time employment, internships and co-op employment.
All applicants are required to submit unofficial transcripts of all post-secondary education for the application and review process. Please include your school’s grading scale. Separate transcripts are also required if you received any transfer credit from another university. You may upload these to the “Transcripts” section of the online application. If you are admitted to the program and decide to enroll, we will require your official transcripts at that time.
Online MBA Applicants are only required to provide the names and contact information of their recommenders to submit a completed application and to receive an admission decision. Recommenders will receive the request to complete the recommendation and may do so but are not required to do so. If the recommender does not provide the recommendation, it will not impact the decision. If the recommendation is provided, it is only used as an additional data point if needed. Additionally, if the recommender does not provide a recommendation, it is possible that we will follow up with a recommender if we need additional insight.
If you have or will have earned a three-year bachelor’s degree, you may need a transcript evaluation prepared by World Education Services (WES) or Education Credential Evaluators (ECE).
